Hi there guys. Just joined the forum and new to being a ducati owner. I've just bought myself a 2010 Multistrada 1200s. Unfortunately the previous owner took off the led handguards so I've bought some aftermarket guards with led running lights and indicators. I've wired them in, however I've had to wire the running lights in with the indicators as there are only the two wires. I get one flash off the running light then nothing. Obviously there is a different wiring set up but unsure where to wire in the running lights. If anyone can shed some light for a noob with electrics would be great fully appreciated.
I believe the factory installed hand guards come with led indicators. I'm just wondering if the wiring works slightly differently for each side.
OE hand guard indicators are LED which are conventionally wired. Do you have a link to the web site you bought your aftermarket jobbies from ? Andy
Gorgeri Motorcycle Hand Guards, 2pcs 7/8" Universal Motorcycle Hand Guards LED Turn Signal DRL Indicator Protector https://amzn.eu/d/huedk2c I'm afraid to say they're cheap amazon ones which may be my downfall...funds are low at the moment.
Unfortunately that's the problem it hasn't come with any, I've merely got the black yellow and white cables. Assuming white, daytime running light, yellow for indicators.
From your description, there is an imbalance between the rear indicators and the new aftermarket jobbies. I'm not familiar with fitting balance resistors but that imbalance suggests to me, one might be required ? Hopefully someone in the know will read your post. Andy
