Hi. Can anyone help with a multistrada dash query. I need to change the dash on my 2013 multistrada and the only used clocks that I have seen for sale do not specify a mileage on them. Does that mean that the information for the dash is stored on the bikes ECU and will automatically appear on the screen when it is connected with the correct mileage displayed. If this is not the case then what will actually happen. Cheers
On the basis that having your dash replaced with a new dash resets your mileage to zero, I'd say you will end up with the other guys mileage showing on your bike.
Although 2013 may be the point when they made it so the dealer can set the mileage back to what it should be. Not sure on that one though.
When i picked my multi up the dash was changed before i got it, mileage starts at 0 and its marked on the paperwork with the mileage it was changed at to keep it all legal.
After getting my big Service done and riding off from the dealer, mine handily decided to have a meltdown and reset its own total mileage. Handy as no other detrimental effect yet I now know I have exactly 15k until the next one [emoji106] They kindly noted it down as a clock change on the history despite not actually being changed.
