1200 Multistrada Flywheels

  1. Has anybody got any experience of, or opinions on these?

  2. I wouldn't bother on a road bike. It will create more problems than it will solve.
     
  3. It says the lighter flywheel will increase engine braking, honestly I don’t think the mutley needs anymore engine braking. And I thought a lighter flywheel gives less engine braking, but obviously I’m no expert.

  4. Lighter flywheel means less rotating mass to maintain rotation at low revs making it easier to stall. Remember the original Porsche Boxter ? Absolute bastard to pull away. Although I have only ever used a lighter flywheel on a track engine in a bike, I suspect on the Multistrada, it’ll affect starting as well. Andy
