Hello all. In a rare moment of madness i splashed out £305 on the Ducati gps bracket. It adjusts angle using a GoPro type fastener. I thought it would be good on my new Rally. I wondered if I was the only mug? It looks ok, but with a Zumo XT in place, it won’t make the end of the road before experiencing brewers droop and pointing the screen downward. The decision to buy it was driven by the alternatives being on back order. I had an Iconic and that was fine, but let it go with my PP. Any bright ideas? It’s currently tywraped back to the screen support. Yuk! Cheers
Do have pictures or a link to a page that shows this mount? Did you have to assemble the part that's sagging and missed out a star washer maybe? Whilst Ducati accessories do tend to be expensive they usually work OK. I have an OEM Ducati GPS mount on my 1260 DVT Multi and, aside from some minor shakes (not the mount but the existing screen adjustment cause this), it's been fine over 20,000 miles. Granted the OEM mount did need a different carriage as it's rather stupidly designed to fit the Zumo 390/395 only, not the regular AMPS mount hole pattern used by virtually every other M/C Garmin made before or since.
Hello and thanks for your response. Like you I find it shakes around, but not enough to make the gps unreadable. No shake proof washers in kit. I’ve substituted the thumbscrew fitting for a hex head set screw and got a bit more torque on it. It will do. Cheers
