I replaced the oil & filter on my 2011 Multistrada myself June last year and reset warning with JP's Melcodiag. Have only covered a couple of hundred miles since then due to the joys of a broken shoulder! The oil service 500 mile count down has just come one. Is this normal? Does it come on every 12 months regardless of mileage?? I have always changed oil on older bikes every year anyway so no problem but was just wondering if the warning reset had worked correctly.
You can only reset when the warning is showing . Not before Sounds like it wasn’t showing when you thought you had reset , so do it now and should be good to go
Thanks for the reply, the oil change was carried out last June after the oil change warning had come on, I can't remember what the 500 mile count down had got down to but it was definitely showing when the reset was done.
