I'm going to Europe twice in the next few months, and there's no way I want to do that on the standard Multistrada seat. With no +30mm high seats (supposedly comfier) at a sensible price or Sargents appearing on eBay, I bought a Wunderlich ACTIVE COMFORT seat. This is only my opinion - I can't guarantee it's the same for everyone. I'm 6'4" with 36" legs. Compared to the standard Multistrada rider's seat (of which there are many) it has a curved / cupped shape, a bit like your arse, so it's a lot more comfy than the Ducati ones, which feels almost domed the other way. It's firmer than the standard seat, which is good for longer rides. Soft seats generally mean you sog in I've found, which locks you in place and can be uncomfortable after an hour or two. Instead this one still has a little wriggle room during long use, which is good. The material is quite grippy and hard-wearing, so you're not going to be sliding smoothly sideways to get your knee down, but then again we're talking Multistradas here. Height claims to be 'standard' and it feels it - you also can get a low one, and a heated one. I went for heated because they had a deal on (£100 off), but the heating is underwhelming, so the unheated variant is probably the best value for money. Is it like a Sargent seat? I've had a few Sargents and I'd say it's pretty close, yes - possibly very slightly firmer, and the surface is grippier than my Sargents, but it's of similar high quality. Is it worth it? For me, yes. If anyone is near Banbury/Leamington area, they're welcome to come and sit on it. Image courtesy of Nippy Normans:
