Had my 1200s DVT for 2 weeks now and really loving it. Having previously had a 600 jap bike I did notice the extra weight when stationary but not when you’re on the move. Set the front preload for my weight as it was on zero – not sure why the previous owner had it on zero. Anyway it handles really well for a big adventure bike and I love the low down grunt. If I really drop the hammer it can get a tiny bit loose at the front but it never gets worse and most of the time I’m 2 up so not really an issue. Not sure if this is a common thing or not but I do find a few false neutrals when going down the box, think it was around 3rd, 4th maybe 5th. It doesn’t happen loads and it’s only going down the box not up. Other than that (did I mention the weight ) it’s great and the best bike I’ve ever had. Over the winter I’ll need to get a few bolts and brackets re-plated as they are looking a bit tarnished and furred but just going to enjoy it for the time being.
Congratulations the DVT is a brilliant bike just ride it and enjoy it gets better with mileage One thing don't take any notice of some of the negative crap you see or read
Check chain tension and, depending on your feet size and position, maybe move the gear lever up or down a notch Great bike, enjoy! ps most leave their preload at 0 as they don't know its adjustable (and some dealers seem to say to doe st need any?!)
There is no crap on here we are just honing the Multi to perfection. Just hang on to the bars & go. Woosh.
