748 Mystery Part

  1. You know how frustrating it is when you strip something down, then put it back together again and then find a part left over? Tonight's quiz is ...... where did this come from?

IMG_9326.JPG I found it on the floor earlier today, just where I'd been stripping/reassembling/re-furbing/recommissioning my 748 about 4 weeks ago. It could be from the clutch slave cylinder, it could be out of the clutch itself, it could be from a crankcase cover, it could be from anywhere. Answers below please. Hopefully someone goes.... 'that's from the xxxxxx' and then I can dive straight in there and put it back. BTW the 20c coin is about the size of a £1 coin. Thanks in advance.

  9. Naaah. I bought one of them once and after I'd had the "Ikea moment" outside AKA "how the f88k do I get this in the car?" and had eventually got it home and assembled it, none of the parts left over looked anything like that. Believe me I have checked every single Ikea manual I have and there are no matching parts :p
