Mystery Tope Yoke

  1. Does anyone recognise what Ducati this Top Yoke has come from?

I purchased it recently from Ebay, where it was described as 900SS.

I knew it wasn’t 900SS, but took a chance as it looked about right, was a really good price, and I was about to put a standard flat 900SS yoke in my Milling machine anyway to add some interesting recesses for the Mongrel SS I’m building.

Before it arrived I thought perhaps somebody had done what I was about to do, but the machining is too deep and the webs too thick compared to my std one.

It does however appear to fit, and have the same geometry as the SS one, but I’ll fit it properly at the weekend to check.

I’ll then decide if I like the original flat one, or this one.
If I sell it on it would be nice to know what it’s off.

  2. Aprillia??? Tuono??? just a guess

  3. Thanks guys, both ideas for me to investigate.

The Bimota angle would be nice, for no other reason than it's the only Bimota part I'm ever likely to own!

  4. Actually, having spent some quality Goggle time rather than working, it looks like it could simply be a later(inj) Top Yoke from a 750 or 900SS.

    Boring really.

  5. It is SSie. Will fit carby. Dimensions inc offset are same. They have a bit more meat around stanchion holes than carby and can be taken out to 53mm if reqd.
Monster yokes have different offset so cannot Be mixed with SS.
