I just had to tell people who understand how happy I am.... I bought a 1098 R today.... I have an early 916 SP and now a 1098 R. I am ecstatic and trying not to wet myself.
nice, another person not afraid to use his bike in the wet. Have your carbon panels been painted black or is it just the light?
Just the light. They are weave. Yes, I go out in all weathers, today on the 916 SP to see the 1098R at a dealers. I don't get the bike into my mits for another week or so until they give it a free 7,500 service and check over. Exciting stuff!
I think you absolutely right on this. I should get many years of enjoyment out of it and not lose money in the longrun.
I saw that on eBay. Seemed like quite a good price. Is it a genuine Ducati paint job? Not seen one like that before. Welcome to the clan! There's quite a few recent 1098R owners on this site. R
Hi, yes it is apparently a factory finish. Full service history and I agree I thought £12k was pretty good. One owner and he covered the paint with protective film so pretty much spotless.
Looking around it there does not seem to be any crash damage, not logged as having one either. Maybe a dealer or customer paint? It has used all the carbon parts - they are there and intact. So it does not look like it's had a big off. Either way, TBH I am going to stick a ton of miles on it and enjoy the Hell out of it, it looks cool and if it ever gets majorly valuable it can be resprayed a factory colour.
Well, I believe the 1st 100 bikes in the UK were pre-registerd by Ducati UK and have the reg prefix "KX08", of which mine is one. Yours looks like it was registered in Hampshire, by the plate. **Of course, all this could be wrong Happy Birthday by the way, a nice present to yourself.
Oh, and it's got RAGEDESIGNS.CO.UK on the tail piece. The colour scheme also features on their website. Although on a different bike to yours on an 07 reg 1098. rage-designs.com Columbo has nothing on me
Hi guys checked... It is a Rage Paint job, Ducati Manchester who serviced the bike pointed me in the right direction.
