went down to the Moto GP in portugal last week but on the the way my clutch started slipping , untill i had no clutch at all . got it sorted with a very kind garage owner who gave me his sons cluch out of his 749 with the addition of one of my plates to make up the number ,the only thing way it made it to tight and i could not get into nutral at all witch made it a total pain riding though towns , so after 1400 miles it got me home and i need to replace the whole clutch all the plates as i have to send back the 749 one . any body know the stack hight ? as i have a box of steel plates of diferant thicknesse or whare i can get a resonable replacement set both friction and steel plates
Drop nogaromill999 aka Dave a PM I'm sure he will be able to advise. Just for reference I've used Redracingparts (RED Racing Parts - Motorcycle spare parts, special components and accessories / Parti di ricambio, componenti speciali ed accessori per moto) in the past for my SPS clutch.
dave did offer me a full Barnet one but i only need the friction plates as i have loads of steels , when you say slightly used what are we talking , and how much
John I was joking with slightly used as two of my friction plates are now polished alloy Think is after speaking to David I went and checked my steel plates, some were not flat anymore due to heat warping. I need two clutch packs but I managed to complete a full set of flat steel one's so looking at one set and one set of friction plates only.
it looks like im going with a full set from Red racing parts and its free post all the way from italy
