  1. I'm wanting to set my bike back to factory settings and I don't have a long enough tool to reach the rebound setting at the bottom on the rear shock. Did a quick google search and couldn't find what I needed, but what Im after is a tool long and narrow enough to rear the adjuster, any suggestions welcomed :)
    Cheers chaps :upyeah:

  2. Is this the one that's through the swing arm? If so won't a long screwdriver/ Allen key do?

  3. That's the one, the torx keys I have arnt long enough and don't have a suitable screwdriver. I think that its a 4mm screw thou...can you tell im doing this from work and from memory

  4. 3.5mm on a showa shock

  5. Cool, but its an Ohlins

  6. is I the bottom adjuster? if so its a 3mm allen key and you will find it much easier if you drill an access hole in the swingarm.two minute job to drill.

  7. I seem to remember adjusting mine by using an Allen key and turning it with pliers as I couldn't get fingers in there.

  8. holes already pre-drilled.

  9. He was taking the piss....god I hope he was taking the piss :tongue:

  10. Or he was suggesting making the hole bigger...the teng T bar ones reach but its still a pain in the arse, almost quicker to drop the shock! A flask of coffee, some perseverance and other jobs to do in between to calm you down over the 3 hrs min in the garage it takes before you can do it pretty quickly. Thats the answer

  11. the hole that is in your swing arm for adjusting the ohlins shock is to high but you can lengthen it or bore another below .iv done this on my last two 1098,s and then you can work away at setting up your suspension without hassle go and look closely at where on the swingarm I mean and you will see its only on the thin piece of webbing.

  12. Went for a Bondus 3mm T bar at £3.50. Sorted ....unless the adjustment screws are inch and not metric
