Need Help Identifying 60's-70's Parts And For Any Ducati Model

Discussion in 'Vintage' started by MrZasen, Jan 2, 2018.

  1. Hi, I'm new here, I don't even know if I'm posting in the right place, but if I'm wrong, I don't have any problem moving everything.
Well, a week ago, I went to a family barn, and found a whole room of Ducati parts, mainly from the 70's early and late. As I'm not a huge fan of bikes (sorry) I need some help identifying the parts to be able to sell them properly.
I'm going to be posting them here, if you're going to help I would recommend quoting the photo and posting the name of the bike, if possible the year and their value nowadays too and some proof would be awesome.

  2. Welcome to the Forum.

From the photos, these would appear to be Mototrans parts. Mototrans was a Spanish/Catalan company, based near Barcelona which manufactured motorbikes under licence from the main Ducati factory in Bologna, Italy. Mototrans made bikes from 1957 to 1983. Most of their bikes were sold in Spain, with very few coming to Britain. The Mototrans bikes are not exactly the same as Italian made bikes, with many parts not interchangeable.

May I suggest you try to locate in Spain a specialist in Mototrans products who could take a look at the parts you have and advise a course of action?

  3. Thanks a lot, but even being made for Mototrans I still need to know the model names, to identify them, I haven't found any specialist yet, the info I'll have to rely on the internet for now.

  4. Hi, I would suggest that you post the question in the Motoscrubs website, as it is a forum dedicated to both Ducati and Mototrans single cylinder machines.

    http://www.motoscrubs.com/forum/index.php

Although many of the guys on there are in the states, there are quite a few from Europe too. I'm sure that will be able to give you the information you need.

Hope this helps and good luck with the sale.
