  2. Hello and welcome. A very desirable bike and very rare in the Phillipines I would guess.
    1991/92 851 Strada. Late style.
Its in a bit of a state and needs a full strip/rebuild by looks of it. The fork legs look rusty, how long since it was running? Can you turn the engine over manually?
The seat unit won't be hard to get either original or pattern. Have alook on ebay uk, Holland and Germany and Australia/NZ.
If you have a local Ducati Club they might have good contacts.
There is also a 851/888 worldwide forum that'd be worth joining.

  3. Lucky man, that looks like it could turn into a real stunner after alot of hard work and pound notes but ultimately well worth the time and trouble
Good luck with it and post lots of pics and progress

  4. You need to put in a container and ship it to Steve R on this forum. He will have it running beautifully in 6 months. You may have a 996 engine in by the time he finishes.
Come on Steve, help him out.

  6. ^ I guess Typhoon Koppu last year didn't help.

  7. So you will need to strip the motor by the looks of it. Unless you have skills and a workshop its really a job for a specialist and will be expensive. You need an alternator cover, other models will fit, watercooled with same size alternator which I think is 350W.
What do you know about the bike? Why is the cover missing, did it go wrong and previous owner start looking. One problem early ducs have is the alternator rotor nut works loose.
Also have a look at the case around the front sprocket for damage, it might've thrown a chain.

  8. That's the thing, mechanic told me i'm missing a stator cord and the alternator cover. and i tried looking around but no one sells any here in the Philippines. tried looking on e-bay tho but to no avail. hope someone here has and can ship xD.

  9. What do you know about the bike, why has the cover been taken off.

  10. long story. some guy hid it at the ducati store in the philippines(ptuazon brand) then they ruined it after i got it several years later

  11. Would you be willing to give up and sell it to someone here in the UK?
What price in pounds would you let it go for?

  12. yeah, if someone is willing to buy it and bring it there. probably not that expensive :)

  13. @Mr.R

  14. He's asking for 100k philippine pesos..

  15. 2,200 US Dollars. Seems fair apart from the location!
I'd happily give him that if it was in Preston rather than the Phillipinnes!
