  1. Strange I don't recall Hodgson ever racing a 748..

2000 he won BSB on the INS/GSE bike
2001 he went to WSB on a GSE bike
2002 WSB on a GSE bike again
2003 999 WSB and took the title
2004 Off to MotoGP on a Desmo
    2005 Off to AMA

  2. a cursory glance and the forks are wrong (should be 748R), calipers and dash is wrong (should be Magneti Marelli for '01).

Nice bike tho. If anyone is interested in a little RS, I know where Xaus' 748RS is for sale.

  3. looks like it has mag yokes and swinger too. Def not original WSS spec.

  4. Xaus RS - "Low Mileage - 1 Careful Owner"

  5. Jon is right.......Hodgson never did race the 748..he was with Kawasaki after his first soiree with Foggy...then back to BSB, won the Championship in 2000 after that epic battle with Stalker, then back to WSB with GSE then the factory Ducati team again, winning WSB in 03, then off to Moto GP on the ill fated satellite D'Antin Ducati, followed by a 4 year career in AMA in the US..........and in 2001 when they say he rode it, he was in back in WSB on the 996RS with GSE......so its bollocks.

  7. In 2001 Neil Hodgson was 5th in the WSB . He never road a 749rs let alone an 853rs if there ever there was such a thing. In 2000 he was BSB champion on a 996 in 2002 he was 3rd in WSB cant remember if it was a 998 or a 999 . Think probably a 998 as it was then called the 996R which was the 998 . He won the WSB title in 2003 0n a 999RS.
