Neutral ?

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by Freshfunkmeister, Mar 14, 2021.

  1. Not had my 1098 SF long but boy is neutral hard to find. 5 minutes trying yesterday while getting fuel was just silly. Seems a small tap down from second instead of the slight tap up from 1st seemed to do the trick eventually. This is my first Ducati so am assuming this is just a Ducati thing though the bike has done almost 30,000 miles and apparently the clutch plates need changing at the 30,000 miles so this might well have something to do with it. However, in the meantime, is Neutral tough to find generally speaking ? My bike also has covered clutch plates which I’d like to remove for an open clutch plate like most other dry plate Ducati’s, just for looks of course. Any hints on some decent quality carbon fibre ones ? Cheers !

  2. Try adjusting the gear lever slightly downward using the adjusting rod.

  3. 1: chain tension
    2: bleed clutch
3: IMO don't go CF clutch cover as it offers 0 protection if it goes down that side.
