New 899 Owner

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Bo01691, Dec 28, 2017.

  1. Finally bought myself an 899 after first seeing one back at Motorcycle live in 2013. It’s going to be a long winter waiting to get this out of the garage!

  7. It is mate yes, bit of a naff name but a very well spec’d bike and a sensible price. Wasn’t really looking at buying one right now but when it came up for sale I had to go for a look!

  10. That's a lovely looking bike mate! Just some gold magnesium wheels would finish it off nicely.

  11. I did see this bike on eBay. Fantastic price considering the suspension alone is 2k!

  15. Where d'ya get your lock thing? Can you get them for the LH side, and can you get them for non-radial (axial?) mounted brakes?

  16. Ducati accessory. I believe it’s available for LHS. It s made by Roadlok, top bit of kit. @comfysofa can confirm quality

  17. Yep...brilliant bit of kit. Got them on 3 of my bikes...I think on a 2 disc bike they're a right hand fitting..ie opposite to the way the stand leans the bike.

  18. And on a Scrambler?... *braces for usual Comfysofa tirade against the majesty of the 803cc omnibike*
