Was just about to post this. Single sided again and no shotgun exhaust. Wonder if it’ll get the 1299 tft display?
Let’s hope they do a better job with the Euro five exhaust than they did with the euro four one but sadly can’t see it..
Like RBW, this may tempt me to change my 899 Looks like it’s using the V4 front frame ( although they’ve attempted to disguise it ) for me, a lot will depend upon the looks of the finished exhaust system, I know their hands are tied by emission laws, but if it looks as bad as the original 959 I certainly won’t be buying one. I would consider it if it had the twin “ wheelbarrow handle “ exhaust as per the 1299 FE If it looks disastrous, or is too expensive by the time all the new gizmos have been added, I’m afraid I’ll be heading in the direction of the new electronic suspension Tuono V4
It will be competing against the new Daytona 765 which you can guarantee all the bike journalists will love it so you would imagine that exhaust would have to be an improvement on the last one. Rich
If they keep the looks more or less the same and don't use the V4 as a base for looks then it’s got potential with an exhaust to be a better looking bike than the V4
What don't you like about it Tally ? The 959 didn't make me want to change from my 899 as I saw it as a backward step (more weight, less noise, horrid cans, arguably less midrange) but think the V2 might be the one to make me change. RBW.
Always like a Pani Sorry I was meaning not worth it from my existing 959. Early reports indicate that it’ll be fairly minor updates and not a super mid V4. A tft dash and minor engine updates plus a likely 7-8k trade in price don’t make salivate tbh
Don't know if it's just me but I hate bikes without a TFT dash now. It's the only thing I don't like about my 899
few comments flying around about frames etc. It will have the box frame if it's the panigale Twin engine, as that only has mounts on the inside of the cylinder heads to mount the 'frame'... Re-designing the twin engine for the front frame seems like a stretch in terms of investment unless they plan to use it in all of the new Monsters/Small Multistrada and HyperMotard. It also has the base V4 forks (still Showa BPF but mounts with the front mudguard differently) and they have put the existing 959 Brakes on there, which I think is an error. With the V4 going to the newest Brembos' it's not out of the question that the M50's could be used on the 959+ Ref the Daytona 765, I think it will come out as a TFC Factory special which means nearer £17-18k, which is an insane amount of money. A mate works at a Triumph dealer and they still know nothing at all about it.
