  1. No idea of price yet of this new titanium silencer but it is apparently road legal.

  3. Compared to the OE euro4 compliant cans, IMO, it’s a huge asthetic improvement. Andy

  4. Someone in the US quoted a price of USD 5000 which is higher than the Akra race system.

  5. Totally agree. Anything that replaces those dustbins is an improvement. These are the neatest looking alternatives I have seen to date.

  6. I don't know who must laugh the most looking at their bank account, Mr Ducati or Mr Akrapovic? I'm guilty of feeding the Ducati-Akrapovic money machine but sometimes I do wonder how the hell the exhausts can be soooo expensive? How can it be right that an exhaust system costs ~20% of the cost of a bike?? Nuts...

  7. Some people have more money than sense. That said when I have 50p in my pocket I have more money than sense :)

  8. Anything you buy for a bike has HUGE margins in it - because the companies know people will pay it because its a hobby / leisure sport....

There is also lots of development costs and small volumes to recoup over... but add the word Motorbike to a product is an immediate 100% mark up... Pet Dryer £40 - £120 Motorbike Dryer £100 to £400 as an example.

Brake discs for your car - £25 to £75 brake disc for your motorbike £100 to £400

  9. Euro4 compliant? Ram it.... looks shit anyway. I’m oot!

  10. If it’s street legal then it’s going to be mooted sound wise,
Begs the question, what’s the point over the stock can then...
Apart from the Akro name, even the looks are subjective, prefer the stock cans with a black ceramic coating on it.

  11. That's a tidy bit of kit. Ffs it's titanium, no wonder it's pricey.

  12. Weight
