Hi all, like many before me I've finally relented, and have (almost) bought a Ducati. A nice & shiny red 2006 749 will be delivered to me early next week. According to the display it has done only 14k kilometres, looks pretty good but I'm not sure I believe it yet It has a partial service history from the first Dutch owner who has done the most milage on it. However, it has not been used much in the past couple of years so I'm going to inspect (and probably replace) the belts first before riding it properly. A bit about me, I'm 35, from the Netherlands and have been riding since 2007. I ride daily for commuting, have done a bunch of trackdays, some holidays in the Alps, etc. In total it's been around 250.000 km. The 749 will be my 6th bike, previously I've owned a 94 Kawasaki ZZR-600, '08 Suzuki GSX-650F, '01 Suzuki GSX-R, '01 Aprilia RSV Mille and currently I have a '01 Aprilia Caponord wich is (& will remain) my daily ride.
Pssst! Bike shot with bins in the background. Otherwise your membership could be in jeopardy (She's controlling the delete button now...) Welcome aboard, we love the Dutch and most Europeans (apart from those in the EU castle).
@Kirky that does make more sense. I don't have the Duc here yet, but the Caponord is a bike as well... I'm just too lazy to pull it out of it's nest so the bin can be in the background instead of the foreground, but here you go:
Atta boy....a bit forced but were heading in the right direction.... 1. Bin in front 2. Italian bike just the wrong kind. Work in progress....
