New paint job

Not usually keen on that colour scheme, but that actually does work!

Couldn`'t disagree more. It looks great on the 848, but it doesn't work on the Panigale at all!

 

I have to agree with Major....I dont think it works on that bike.

 

Not a fan either, looks superb on the older models though........

For that kind of money I would at least have expected them to have remembered to paint the tank.

You just can't get the staff nowadays.

Rest of it looks good though.

 

didnt think much of this colour scheme when i saw pics of the 1098, but when i saw it in real life it looked fantastic!
so i reserve real judgement until i actually see this! :biggrin:

 

The striping on the tank is the problem, looks like an afterthought. Would have been better not to paint at all

 

Too much brushed ally on the tank, needs some red, maybe up to just below the ducati decal, then leave the top bare. Like it mostly, though.

 

That's a fail. Too angular too work. 1198's yes, Panigale no.

 

I quite like it... except the petrol tank which looks a bit weird.

 

I agree with Bradders - I love the rest of the it but the stripes on the tank don't do it for me :frown:

 

But at least you can make a cock-up of refuelling, pour petrol all over the tank and it won't lift the paintwork.

That's about the only good thing I can say about that tank.

 

unless he had it stripped down its the enduro tank, thats how it comes. nice touch. rather the nicky hayden paint job myself but fair play-not that there are a great deal pani on the road but if u do come across one in a car park,its his people will look at
