  1. Hi all
Picking up my pre-reg Streetfighter 848 on Saturday and cannot wait!
Got a good deal as it is pre-reg and got a discount on the first of many extras thanks to Riders in Bridgwater!
Went for the red option in the end but was tempted with the yellow as it does look good in the flesh.
Extras being fitted are as follows-
DP Comfort seat - Maybe I am getting old but the stock seat seemed a little firm!
DP Screen - to help on the motorway miles.
    DP Tank protector in carbon.
DP Seat Cowl - no way is anyone getting on the back of this bike!
DG8 Gear indicator in red - Had one on my old bike and found it useful. Currently figuring out where to mount it as I don't fancy it on the top yoke.

    Extras I am already considering
DP Footpeg Kit - I must admit this could just be the bling factor kicking in but I was not totally convinced by the stock pegs and the grip they offer, will ride it for a few months and see.
DP number plate holder - to tidy up the rear end.
DP carbon ignition cover - bling!
Termis to come one day but will have to wait a while.

I will post some pics up once I get the bike home and will continue to post and comment on any upgrades I make to the bike.

    Cheers All

  2. They're a cracking bike the 848SF, so much so I'm considering one myself.

test rode one of them and a Multi for half a day the other week where Italia Moto let me and my mate lose with them, great blokes at Italia (cheers lads)

my mate loved the multi, I enjoyed it but the SF was brilliant at hooning about, 3rd gear is great and will easily roll on past ###mph if your that way inclined ;)

i reckon knock a tooth off on the front and it'll be about right.

    enjoy

  3. Cheers mate.
I certainly enjoyed the test ride.
I think they knew they had me when I got back to the shop with a silly grin on my face!

  4. Yeah I had the silly grin to

Plenty of aftermarket stuff out there now rather than DP stuff

Just put some termis on mine - awesome

Done 7k on mine since march and loved every mile - best thing - I no longer have bike envy

  5. Had my 848SF for a little while now-great bike, great fun with a big grin factor.Always in a good mood after having a ride on it.
    Enjoy your new bike Daver848.

  6. Silly grins all round then!
I have been looking at Rizoma etc for aftermarket bits but do like to keep it Ducati if you know what I mean?
Will be getting some 'NEXT' fluid tanks as soon as funds allow as I still find it hard to believe we have these cheapo plastic things stuck on the bars for all to see!
The Diavel fluid tanks are an improvement though and let's be honest it's not a deal breaker is it!

  7. Cheers mervyn I cannot wait til Saturday to get on the bike and get riding!

  8. Good choice I bought one 1st sept love it, just a wee word of caution I binned mine the first day...........self inflicted..........., the brakes are awesome and I grabbed a handful and the bike stopped but I didn't  also in low temps the tyres really take a fair bit of work to warm up then they stick like chewing gum. Enjoy the bike and have fun.:upyeah:

  9. Cheers Mr Burns
I can understand the 'binning it' situation the front brake is amazingly powerful.
Whe I was turning outside the shop I really did wonder how I was going to use it without the front locking up it had such a bite but once I was riding it just felt excellent.
Really want the bike now!

  10. I have the next pots - you need the rizoma brackets as well to make it look right

  11. Hi Daver848.Have you considered fitting radiator guards. The radiators are a bit vulnerable to debris coming off the front tyre?

  12. Char do you have any pics mate?
Sorry if already posted I am new to this and just finding my way!
    Cheers

  13. Mervyn

    Any suggestions of what make/model?
    Cheers

  14. I'm considering the carbon intakes, saw them on a streetfighter S and they looked pretty good
