Fitted some new bits, ahead of a Spain trip in a few weeks. Decided on a RAM mount that screws in to the handlebar clamp - I have to say I'm very happy with it - very neat: Adjusted it so it's aligned with the bottom of my dash: Also fitted a power socket - primarily to power the satnav, but occasionally handy for charging bluetooth headsets or a phone on the go. This one fits really neatly below the satnav pouch, and clamps on to the handlebar (excuse the white cable tie fitted as a precautionary measure to stop the clamp opening up - it was all I could find at work!): Finally, my lovely new Givi tankbag. Clips on using the tanklock system. Just the right size for what I want, and really neat: Apologies for poor orientation of pics - tried rotating several times now!
My view is as per the second pic. I'm not keen on having the satnav above the clocks, I just don't fancy it, and this works fine for me, with only the slightest downward glance to see it. I've adjusted the position so it doesn't hit the tank bag at all on full lock.
