Yeap got to have red in somewhere I'm much better now thanks. Plenty of physio is helping and its so nice to have the brace off
Very nice. Post up a report when get a chance, on what its like in comparison to a twin (bottom end grunt etc)? Wht did you have previously (or is that an additional toy)?
The bikes additional, still have a DUC but replaces my crashed 999. I'm still running the bike in as I only picked it up at the weekend, done over 350 miles already though So far compared to a twin (ridden for the past 10 years) the slow smooth speed control in any gear including 6th at 15 mph makes riding around town so much more relaxing. The grunt is not as thrilling low down the revs and the kick in the pants does not have that wow factor (not that I enjoy being kicked in pants ...honest.) However it does not leave you wishing you had more and pulls from 6th @ 15 mph. Makes you smile as much but higher up the rev range. Once it's run in I will post my thoughts with the revs much higher closer to the 15k oooooh of course The bike turns into corners almost on it's own, it's possibly the best handling bike I've ridden. I've got the Arrow cans fitted with baffle removed and despite ear plugs my ears were still ringing Monday morning.
The exhaust is great, just watch though for the Carbon Burning out on the end, I had 2 on Warranty. How are you finding the suspension? It really is as good as you think it should be (if that makes sense) definitely no Showlins. I used to run standard settings and then put it into the 'Comfort' settings for winter and soggy roads, the downside is that it does make the bike feel 'heavy'. I really loved riding mine, you are right about how smooth it is, it just didn't have the 'theater' about it, I rode it to Scotland and back in the summer and next summer when I have ridden the Ducati on the same trip, ask me again if I miss the Daytona and the answer might be a YES! happy riding!
