Who the hell would actually buy a bike for £90k? £50k for a Desmo, I can imagine (if I ever sell the flat & suddenly develop the ability to lie to the missus straight to her face) but £90k? That’s beyond eye watering money. Could you ever use it at that price, if not would it really be an investment at that price?
Thought the base bike could be bought for £70, the £90k package included riding a GP bike and Dovi giving you a happy ending.
IF you passed the medical and met the age and size criteria, the full package, which was limited to the first 30 customers, IIRC was over £100k. Andy
If you are paying out £90k for a motorbike, its £90k you wouldn't miss from your bank account. I would reckon its £90k better spent than on a similar priced car. Have the bike specialists got one in stock yet? Only a matter of time, surely.
Speaking to my friendly local dealers they reckons that Ducati bank on most buyers (80% plus) that can afford a toy such as this will go with the full £110k package. Reasoning is that those that can afford to buy the basic package at £90k will see nothing to spunking another £20k for the MotoGP experience.
Guys, it’s all very relative. Small market but a very strong market. They are selling small numbers. How many £10m properties are empty in London or struggling to sell? Zero. It works with the same with us very members on here. Not many people can afford a Panigale V4S, with actual cash or the Desmo etc. Hence the poor hobo people have budget Jap bikes (eww).
Yes all that’s true & certainly if you could afford a £90k motorbike, you’re probably not going to be worrying about the overdraft that month, but other than “just because” what is the point? It surely won’t go up much if at all, so an investment?-Not really. To road ride it?-Would you dare? So it’s an unbelievably expensive track bike (which it isn’t) or it’s an ornament. Nice problem to have I suppose!
