  1. That video gives me a lump in my throat.

I really miss the fast bikes crew of frost, shakey and gazza and still have the collection of vhs vids in pride of place in my living room. You just don't get bike tests like they did anymore ie to destruction usually.

That 748R looks and sounds fantastic.Vids like this make me want to buy one to sit next to the 916SPS.

Maybe the FB boys should do the promo for the superleggy RR ducati are about to bring out.

  2. Yeah, it's a great vid actually, could watch it all day long!!

Anyone got the URL? Can't seem to get it out on my iPad.

  3. Fan bloody tastic and it's the right colour too, just like the one keeping my girlfriend's Diavel company in my garage . Andy

  4. Ive got another vid like that 748R one I think dream twins 2 where that same technical director Andrea Forni gives you the low down on the new back then 996R including engine and brake improvements etc. Then frost thrashes it on track before being joined by the likes of Troy Bayliss.

Then they give it the real FB test on the roads vrs the SP1 and Mille R.Seem to remember the duke won hands down and continued being the king of road bikes in FB's eyes.

  7. Oh forgot to mention another FB video that is right up there with there best.Think it might have been titled v's vrs fours.

Anyway in one 10 minute part Frosty gets let loose on the 996SPS round the Ardeche mountain road on cold febuary tarmac if memory serves me right. After nearly highsiding it a few times with the usual in helmet swearing like a banshee the tyres warm up and he gives it the beans. No silly fb music just the glorious sound of a 996SPS being ridden very hard of fantastic roads with a low sun in the background.Jeez those 10 mins are a sound and sight of pant stetching proportions in the words of funky.

    Proper bike testing for sure.

  8. Some unlucky bugger has got that bike that Frosty thrashed!

I posted a link on the Blue Balls post with the 996 and Bimota SB8R test, where it ended up in a mess.

  9. it gives me a lump in my pants....

they were the good old days, Frosty, Shakey, Emmet.....my fave vid of all time though is this one:

    Ducati 996 vs Bimota sb8r - YouTube

Yeah i know weve all seen it a million times, but how incredibly, timelessly beautiful does that Duke look cranked over, dude styling it up, cans booming on those wonderful mountain roads??

even when its binned at the end, its still a beautiful wreck....a bit like kate moss strung out on scag

    amo mia bella ducati

  13. Have got all the fb videos! Pulp friction etc! Love em! Need to get them converted them uploaded

  14. Pmsl at some of the comments. So do we condone the riding in these videos? Wish I could ride half as well

  15. mate please get it done!! i fancy the trip down memory lane!!

  16. watching some of these clips again reminds me of just how revolutionary the 916 design was, and how exotic the bike was at the time....just look at the others in the video, including the bikes when they visit the gp...they all look so big, fat, old and ugly, but the Ducati is timeless..
its simply impossible to overstate the importance of Tambo's design...
    wonderful
