So… My little Ducati decided it was going to not work. It wouldn’t bump start (as I thought it was the battery at the time) and it wouldn’t jump start off a running car’s battery. I have replaced the battery but the injector doesn’t whirr when I twist the key and the engine doesn’t even try to start though the lights come on fine. My Right hand switch fuse (7.5A) has blown along with my injector fuse (5A) I will replace these but was wondering if there could be any underlying faults that are lurking anywhere?
I think the fuses could well be a useful clue and maybe the main symptom linked to what's happened, I hope this rings some bells with someone reading this. Possibly regulator and/or relevant wiring linked? EDIT Just had a search and it is possible that the regulator has failed and is solely responsible for the blown fuses, but more investigation needed.
