Norway Members Help Please Re Hilsen Steinar

  1. A long shot maybe but if any Norwegian members know of a Hilsen Steinar on a local Forum or Face Book in Norway, I could do with a bit of help.

Last may he purchased a set of CCW Coils off me for his Ducati using the Ebay International Shipping Service. Unknown to me (as I do not see the final destination) he shipped them to his daughter in Sweden who was at college. She couldn't receive from the Swedish Post office as she didn't have her passport with her so the coils were sent back.

We had difficulty translating but a few months after I managed to get Ebay involved on his behalf as they subsequently lost the package. I explained everything and copied him on emails. I asked Ebay to get a Norwegian speaker and they agreed it was their issue directly with Hilsen Steinar.

Today 8 months after the transaction he has now bye passed Ebay and put a claim against me directly with PayPal. I have described the situation via a message to PayPal and await their reply.

Just hoping to find they guy so he can finally get this issue sorted with Ebay as they are responsible for loss once the goods are accepted at their UK Shipping Centre and I can't understand why he hasn't resolved the issue with them. I cannot contact him via Ebay as it is more than 3 months after the event.

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Stu

  6. Agreed. Used to be too pro seller but due to complaints they've straight flipped it. Way too pro buyer now. Buyers can just claim goods were broken and there is nothing you can do about it. It has been known for buyers of car/bike parts to claim the items were damaged and return their original broken parts. eBay will always file in the buyers favour.
