  1. And after all the hullabaloo here

And The Scots Reward Is? | Ducati Forum

Curious as to know why no big thread about rUK copying our sensible policies again.

Is it still a bad idea?

How long to rUK catches up with the rest of the EU and Scotland with drink drive limits.

Looking forward to Alex being deputy PM come the general election.....you heard it hear first!

Hung parliament, lib dems wiped out. UKIP taking seats from the red and blue Tories.......Labour wiped out in Scotland......SNP on track for 50 seats and likely to be third largest part in Westminster.

    Its in the post people.

  2. Which policies? Lower DD limit is poorly thought thru, we are already jealous of the health and education policies in force, what's left? No trident? Nope. Wind and solar power? Nope.

  3. Me too.

  4. Not again its all bu** shi* :pompus:

  5. it would be an interesting prospect, he has already said there will be no coalition, just a day to day thing.
but lets not count our chickens just yet.

  6. I hear that Scotland has a new breed of Midges that have just been discovered. They love to suck on peoples blood when least expected, they have a nasty nip and disappear for a short period every year only to reappear and fly around yer heed in a troublesome, annoying and bothersome way. They have just been named the Salmond Midge and really hope that they dont migrate down to England.

  7. Don't understand your point Stu

Salmond donated 1/3 of his first ministers salary to charity and donates all his first ministers pension to charity. If re elected to Westminster he has said he will donate his salary to charity.

What is parasitic about that ?

  8. Very true . Salmond won't be deputy pm even though circumstances could arise where that could be the case. It was a tongue in cheek comment.
The fact is that SNP MPs do not vote on English only matters . Never have done. Being deputy PM will never happen.

After the next election there will either be a Tory UKIP government or total chaos.

  9. Seeing as the last three PM's have been Scottish, does that not give the Scotts carte blanche to do what they like anyway???

Personally I don't really care who is in power as long as its not Labour, even the raving monster loony party couldn't fuckup everything as badly as those red bastards

  10. @749er dont get me wrong, there is nothing i want more than to see salmond sitting there, who knows what will happen if they get enough seats.
@Kato there catering for the majority so nope. i aint blinked enough to think Scottish therefore competent or indeed honest.

  11. labour red ?? you must be too young to know what red really means,,, oh btw it is not " labour ",, it would appear that you are also too young to remember that the name was officially changed years ago , it is now " New Labour ",,, and they aint even pink mate..

  12. Labour is dead. It doesn't represent the working class because there isn't a working class as they would like to understand it. It isn't 1945 any more. Labour is the party of a narrow branch of the prissy, disapproving, perennially offended metropolitan chattering classes who spend their comfortable lives prescribing socialism for everyone except themselves. They represent no-one else. It is no wonder real people are deserting the party in droves. Long may the exodus continue and may the rout extend to New Labour's placemen who have been implanted into every corner of public life to enforce a left wing agenda and establish in perpetuity a socialist government in exile. To use traditional Scottish parlance, they can get tae feck as well.

  13. This is an entirely believable scenario. I don't agree with much of what Wee Eck has to say but I recognise him for an extremely talented politician and strategist, Nippy Sweetie isn't in his league.

But, if that is the case, it will trigger a massive backlash from the English heartlands which will rip the UK apart, maybe that is what he wants; the damage will be enormous. His desire for an independent Scotland, and he being recognised as it's architect, at any cost is a dangerous obsession.

  14. interesting that you chose the use of Scottish " parlance " regarding a political party which has a lot of support in this country when in fact it was the English dominated tory party which was given the uncerimoniously " get tae fk " from here a long time ago...

  15. See Johnv's post above. If Scots are happy living in an oil-fired socialist dystopia that is their affair. Best of luck and all that. But England has increasingly had its fill of being governed by unelected fifth columnists. Whether they go forth and multiply in the Scottish or the English vernacular is immaterial. But go they must.

  16. I have lived half my adult life in Scotland, I like Scotland, I like the Scots and I feel more at home in Scotland than I do in the south of England.

I am always surprised that the Scots, who as a nation are conservative with a small "c", totally reject the Conservative and Unionist Party. It is no surprise that the Labour Party flourished in the central belt and particularly on Clydeside, but those days are over, as Gimlet has described.

  17. i think it's because they f.ckd them over back in the seventy's did they not support the torys.over something then they shat on them?

  18. it is no surprise that the traditional Labour party flourished in the predominantly working class central belt of Scotland ( also many working class areas in England ),, but those days are indeed gone, so is the Labour party, now we have the New labour party who have increasingly less and less support in Scotland,, however , and thankfully , we have no need for even a trad Labour party as we now have the SNP who are gaining more and more support by the day and may even become a substancial power in the uk parliament as England flounders in a pool of racial tension and financial decline.
PS,,, if anybody thinks that we ( Scottish ) think that we are living in an oil fired socialist dystopia then your grasp on cultural reality is more than a little askew, in fact smacks of the sad mind set of the English tory ( we in Scotland got rid of them long time ago ) who is desperately clinging to the dilousional concept that the capitalist system which has created the situation in which you now find yourselves will somehow get you all out of it,,,,,,,,,,, dream on mate..
