Bike 2002 748s Ducati Installed to the Bike and Bleed as per instructions, the bike has a rock hard Clutch lever (the Pre 2000 Push Rod Spacer was NOT used) Unbolted the Oberon unit from the bike , to test if the piston in the Slave would move , still rock hard Clutch lever , no slave piston movement The OEM Slave was re-installed and Bled , no issues I assume it is a faulty Slave cylinder ? or am I missing something
I was talking to Oberon , they think Air is still in the line ; but that makes no sense to me , as air will compress so I would have a soft lever not a rock hard lever! This is going to work out $$ , have to send back pay for postage , they test , tell me if it is faulty or not Will see how she goes!
Thats a pain....im currently using 2 oberon's (one on my Hyper and one on my Supermoto [525]) both are fine...ive had oberon's on the last 2 hypers also...they were both fine....
with slave removed and a torch (and possibly even a prodder that won't damage anything, like the blunt end of a plastic biro/pencil) can you confirm that slave piston is right at the bottom of the bore (furthest away from mounting face)? does it look dry/any sign of residue on bore wall?
Try fitting the spacer. I had this problem on a 2000 model. Spacer not required allegedly but it was.
Was talking to chris , looks like the piston was vacuumed shut, probably from storage, pressed on it and it freed up with a rush of air Hopefully all good now
agree, apart from that one-piece/2 function wheel socket for Multistrada etc made from camembert - they really ought to stop producing it afaic.
