I'm doing a little ferkling about with ways to mount a temperature sensor on a M900 - I've found that there is a OEM plug with a thermistor mount on loads of models from 400 Monsters to 1000 Supersports. Part number is 87310391A. However given the random nature of my mucking about (and I'm from the north and tight), I don't overly want to spend £25+vat on a new one - if anyone is breaking an engine and has such a plug please get in touch.
Surely you can just drill and tap your existing plug? If you're struggling with that, I'm happy to do it for the cost of postage. Won't take more than 5 minutes.
Hi, I did consider that and have the kit to do it, but the issue would be removing the plug for maintenance - existing plug has a 14mm hex indent for removal with a 36mm round edge - no way to drill out to mount the transducer and have a method to remove the plug afterwards.
