My Mrs doesn't like bikes & often says "isn't it about time you grew up?" To which I always reply "I haven't decided what I want to be yet!" Which got me thinking who is the oldest rider on here?
Yup. There's only one alternative to getting older my friend. A fuck of a lot of people don't get to be my age. I'm happy to be a coffin dodger. I hope you get here too.
So, you're saying the only alternative to getting older is death right ? Do i get to spell and write like you when I'm really old ??
Yes young man. If you study hard, eat porridge for breakfast and masterbate often you too will get to be as old as me one day and your spelling and grammar will win prizes. Your eyesight will be fucked though.
I'm 58 and got back into bikes about 5 yrs ago...My eyes are fine, my hearing is fucked and a couple of joints are on the way out . For the record, I have no intention of giving up bikes again until I can't physically get on one.. It keeps me 'young' and stupid.. I've done a fair few bike nights down at Weston and various charity bike rides around the region ending with the Hoggin the Bridge event this year. The friends I have made because of my bikes are priceless and I would never have met any of them without one.
Elise (@Exige ) remembers the first mammals so I think he is the oldest here. However he doesn't qualify as he only collects bikes, he doesn't ride them.
there is a 76 year old on here, wouldn't be surprised if there was an octogen - ought to have free membership I reckon @Rob ?
Drawing my state pension, have three bikes and ride two of them, 748 and Honda 250, the third is a build nearing completion, a Triton, still working on building sites for a living. Steve
i see some right old ones passing through in the summer, been well humiliated by there skills also. i can still see me riding well in to my seventy's/eighty's, gives me a good 40-50 years i recon.
