  1. I would knock a good few hundred quid off whatever price you negotiate as the 15000 mile service is a lot of money. Check about the porous crankcase issue and other recalls on these older variants, also are the original exhaust and screen included or available. At the mileage I would think the tyres need looking at,would be the end of 2 rears used normally on touring rubber,or the end of 3 rears if the bike is ridden enthusiastically . That's a start. Lovely bikes, keep us informed please.

  2. Looks a good genuine bike and Moto Rapido are a great dealership. I have a 2010ABS and am still really happy with it and no immediate plans to change. I would keep in mind the following:

    1) Check if cylinder heads have been replaced (coolant corrosion issue). If not, what cover will you have if they fail in the next year/5,000 miles?
    2) Chain/Sprockets - Will need changing around 15K miles.
    3) 15K Service - Will be £550-800 depending where you go. Can MR do a deal on this?

    Good luck with it!

  3. Way too much money for a standard machine with no luggage.
Don't forget this machine was only £12k new, £1000 a year depreciation!
Check on here bikes for sale a new engined s model for £8k

  4. Overpriced...

  5. The standard model should be proved at least £3k less tan the S and £5k less than the pikes peak.
Standard model is pretty rare when we had 49 Mutleys together I think there was on 2-4 non s models present.

  6. hmm I may be looking else ware then, the one duke 63 linked is in wolverhampton and there is a postcode on the link

  8. No probs just thought id mention it

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  9. Better off buying a 2013 onwards standard model surely? Twinspark with panniers etc., better running, better mpg and less seems to go wrong with them, no issues in 11k on mine and handles superb for an adventure bike.
Not as if the Ohlins are without problems. Skyhook will be a fortune to put right out of warranty also. Never £3k better IMO.
