Was just doing the valve clearances on the V-Raptor and noticed small paint tabs on various internal components cam gears, washers etc. I'm assuming these are assembly marks. It's be good to have similar for highlighting the punch marks on the bevel gears on the Darmah. So does anyone know what paint is used for such a purpose?
I was looking for paint that might remain in-situ even after the engine has run. I tried a paint marker pen that could be used for glass/stone/metal and it didn't last 100 miles. I'm thinking it's because I can't get the metal (component) totally oil free for it to fully adhere.
