899 Paint Schemes

  1. Hi guys looking for some inspiration for a new paint scheme on my 899, I've been thinking about a black superleggera scheme but I'm open to ideas? Are there any you can suggest?

If you can keep your standard fairings and buy a set of dp ones to get painted,the most difficult part is the tank,do i paint the tank or not ?,lucky with the 899 the tank decals peel off and can be replaced with any colour,i think any paint work should look factory spec so,nero,sl,tric,senna,corse,that 848 se in black and grey looks good.

  10. I'd imagine it would be cheaper for a simple design . Maybe a SL scheme on top of the normal red etc.

  12. Thinking of doing something similar. Why keep originals? Is it a just incase some thing goes wrong or resale? And are DP ones cheaper? Thanks

The dp ones are just unpainted original fairings and at £500 for the set inc mirror blanks that can be sold on if not required, just seems a shame to paint a set of perfectly good fairings,then you always have the option to go back to original come sale time and then sell on the fairings you have left,just my opinion,I still have my original fairings bubble wrapped in the loft.

  14. Wow for some reason I had £2000+ in my head for a set of genuine fairings. Or £500 for the cheap Chinese eBay ones. Makes much more sense If your going to spray them I guess
