For Sale Panigale R Petrol Tank

  1. As the title, I have aquired a bare aluminium alloy Panigale R petrol tank. It has been fitted to a bike which was then converted for the track. The tank is in very good condition, no dents or scratches but there are a couple of very minor blemishes where the seat has rubbed that don't show up on a photograph. An hour with our very own @rob lewis will, I'm sure, make it pristine. These new are £2175 so the I'm looking for a £1000 posted but open to haggling. Andy

  9. I just sold a whole 749R tank for half price :thinkingface: but the Pani ones aren't lacquered over the alloy are they?

  11. As I said - I sold it for half price to a very needy Forum Member :)
    I will be very interested in seeing if Andy concurs about the lacquer as I think it stops at the edge of the aluminium :thinkingface:

  18. The one above is the mk2 r tank that is lacquered,mk1 r tank has a less gloss and more textured so maybe no lacquer or matt lacquer,look at the pics the ali section has a lacquered sheen.

  19. This tank is fully lacquered. I have no idea if as simmytt sugggests, the Panigale 1199R was different. Andy

  20. Please tell me this wouldnt fit a 1299S, as that will make me feel better not currently having any money left.
