Pannier Lid Nets

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Nasher, May 27, 2025.

  1. My 1260 Enduro is fitted with what I believe are the standard Ducati Aluminium panniers available when it was new in 2019.
I've assumed they are made by Givi, but am possibly wrong.

The panniers have the fitted bags with them, but I'd like to fit some nets to the underside of the lids, something like these:

Were these ever available as a DP accessory?
Or does anyone know if there are any specifically designed for these panniers?

My main interest is of course the mounting hooks on the inside of the lids and them being a size that fits nicely.

I can obviously find some hooks and use the nets above or similar, but it would be nice not to have to muck about too much.

    Thanks

  2. Still looking at this, and still making a meal of it.

Does anyone know what the model name of the @2019 Tourtech/Ducati Panniers is?
And what size they are to save me working it out?

Tourtech have 2 different styles on their website at the moment:

    ZEGA PRO/ZEGA - https://www.touratech-uk.co.uk/zega-pro-zega-pro2-luggage-net-m-for-pannier-lids.html
    And
    ZEGA EVO - https://www.touratech-uk.co.uk/zega-evo-luggage-net-for-pannier-lids.html

The standard Net fitting kit for both uses hooks that fit in the corners of the lids, attached by undoing existing bolts:

My Panniers don’t have that bolt as the plastic corner pieces are different:

I know I can always drill an additional hole in the corners but the nets are a stupid amount of money for what they are, and I don’t want to find they are also the wrong size as my older Panniers are a different size.

I’ve searched the usual places and can’t find cheaper generic nets that I can guarantee are the right size to use with hooks I can make myself.

    Thanks

  3. Description on site says that the lock catches that you have are from the evo range. You will need to measure the boxes to see which size as it will depend how the stuff has been purchased. (There are 3 different size options).

  4. This maybe correct for the size guide though.

  5. Thanks @990Glen
Do you have a link to what you've posted as that image/detail is not on the Tourtech site I'm looking at.

  6. Decided I could make my own for Zero cost using stuff I've already got around me.

One of several Land Rover Cargo nets I have was sacrificed and the boat raided for a length of 4mm Bungie.
With a small amount of hand sewing I ended up with this for the Topbox:

Some M4 Low profile dome head screws, Nylock nuts, spacers and penny washers were added to the lid:

And it appears to work a treat:

Two more to make for the pannier lids now.
