I saw this on the news yesterday so bunged them a tenner but never thought that they would reach the target of a million quid so quickly. The centre provides support for disabled kids and was going to be sold as the lease was up and the owners wanted to sell but the charity had first refusal as it was listed as an asset of community value. https://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/park-lane-stables-campaign-1m-target-reached-738010
They were on This Morning How wonderful it’s been saved So many small charities are struggling like these
I can never see that publication without reading it as "Hawse and Hiynd" Fantastic result for the organisation and more importantly the vulnerable people they work with and who have jobs there. We have a horsey place nearby that was faring badly due to the pandemic, they were struggling to feed and provide vet care for the horses and so they set up a fund to which I contributed. However, the other day I saw one of the owners swish past me in a £50k 2019 Audi S7 and I felt a bit mugged off tbh!
