Well I have been hitting up my friends and colleagues to help support my mrs treck the great wall of China, she will be walking for 6-8 hours a day for 6 days in order to cover the distance. She is aiming to raise £5k for Clic Sergent (kids cancer charity), you can read more about why she chose the charity on her just giving page. What she doesn't mention is that a year ago she was diagnosed with a degenerative spine disorder, and had to have spine surgery to prevent her leg being paralysed. The surgery went ok, but there is no way to cure the problem with her back, and it will get worse over time (to the point where she is unable to walk). So she wants to complete this while she can, and hopes to raise money for a great cause in the process, I am very proud of her for attempting this especially as she has to constantly take prescription pain medication (tramadol, etc) in order to manage in her normal day to day life.
