I've got a Ducati ST2 and an ST3. Both are off the road as I was doing desmo checks and using my monster - before I got knocked off and the bike destroyed. My current thinking (it changes by the hour - a bit of brain damage never hurt anyone!) is to buy a KTM when I get my license restored and compensation. The current range of Ducatis don't do it for me. The only one that I would consider is the Supersport 950 S, but that is 14k, compared to £10,650 for this KTM (which is about as powerful with sophisticated electronics) and includes Max Biaggi developed wheelie control! I'm not asking for advice but if anyone from Ducati ever looks here then I, as a Ducati fan, are telling you that you have got it wrong.
The Super Duke is also of interest but I am interested in smaller, lighter as I don't know how strong my leg will get - so I will see when I am in a position to buy. On paper, although the 890 Duke is "only" 890, I am thinking that I may be better off with something lighter.
