Chaps and chapess' I know that everyone has had issues with the starter relay, solenoid etc! For the petrol pump not priming. Removed the alarm on my 1999 996 BP replaced the solenoid, blew the 3amp fuse for the right hand switch control, replaced the fuse now the petrol pump won't prime? Checked all of the wiring, there is a constant feed when turning on the ignition. Like I say from reading the feeds this seems to be a life long issue with the bikes. Anyone found a simple solution???????
The 3A fuse for the LH switch only affects the high and low beams and the pass function. It has nothing to do with the fuel pump. The alarm almost certainly broke the circuit to the fuel pump so I would look at what connections you made when removing the alarm. The fuel pump relay circuit is possibly not connected properly.
If I remember correctly,I had to make a join/small loop of wire, under the seat after I had removed my alarm.Im pretty sure this was to the pump.
Most alarms break the circuit the energises the relay as this also disables the ignition. Or it may break the feed from the relay so that it also disable both coils and pump. I'm sure that's where your problem will lie.
If it is the Rh switch fuse that has blown surely that is the side stand safety relay, starter solenoid circuit and ecu relay coil supply (orange blue)? A Meta alarm should be spliced into each of those elements.
