  3. How old is the bike?

  4. Or the filter screen if it is an older bike?

  5. Hope they're not from here.

  6. Seriously, why TF would they use PLASTIC gear on a ****ing oil pump!!?? Guaranteed to wear out quickly compared to metal components! :astonished:

  7. Apparently they could be pegs that are used for alignment in the manufacturing process.
I did an oil change on my 1299 a couple of years ago with similar in the oil along with swarf from milling.
I confess to going into a bit of a flap as I thought the engine was eating itself.
Report from a number of sources including on this forum confirmed they are pegs & swarf from manufacture.
Which in itself raises other concerns what?

  8. Did you get confirmation of this from Ducati themselves Tony? would like to know more details if you have any.

  9. Hi Chris,
My local dealer reported to Ducati UK and they explained.
Talked to another dealer and an Indy that corroborated.
    Pic of what I found....
