Portuguese Motogp - Round 2 (spoilers)

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Red899, Mar 19, 2024.

  1. Always bugs me when theres wsb on the same weekend as moto gp but here we are.

Right now I can only see a Pecco win in the big race if he doesnt fall off on Sunday afternoon, although Pedro also won there last year :eyes:

A few riders i can think of already needing a "big weekend" (cc Jake Dixon)

    Should be a cracker.:upyeah:

  3. Pretty poor track conditions after overnight rain dumped part of the Sahara desert on Portimao. It would seem the Ducati announcement about signing FA hasn’t gone down well universally with the commentary team, not criticising Fermin but the decision to announce moves so early in the season. Neil Hodgson appears to have been on magic mushrooms with some of his suggested future rider moves :joy: Andy

  12. I have to say I was dreading this season seeing 93 on a ducati but so far it’s been rather wonderful.
I’d even go as far as to say I’m struggling to see him win a single race in ordinary circumstances (or a change of teams) right now.
God bless you Pedro Jorge pecco and the next generation.
You’ve made a middle aged man very happy.

  13. 3 fantastic races today.
    Pedro was brilliant to watch…o_Oo_O:upyeah:

  14. I thought it was a bit harsh hodgy blaming pecco for that crash, I saw it as a coming together/race incident but happy to be proven wrong.
Some camera angles show marquez turning quite sharply back in after getting undercut some angles show pecco riding into him.

  15. Ducati have definitely made a shit decision hiring 93 though. Should have let the other factories deal with the side show, they don’t need him.

  16. Race incident 50/50….but you just know they will happen with…73 !

Looks like the fairing company will earn big bucks this year. As forecast :joy:

  17. I’m a neutral as far as Marquez is concerned.

I had hoped that it would be a better season for him just to add spice to the season.

It could well be that he won’t be riding in MotoGP next season, as new talent coming through needs a ride.

  18. There are certainly some that need to be moving on, as there is next to no chance of them competing to win.
Feeling sorry for the Jap bike riders atm but anyone getting a ride on a Ducati, KTM or Aprilia has a shout.
Acosta already asking questions about some riders! It seems at least six should be making way though..

  19. Re Peco on Marc. I see it more 65:35 with Baggy being at most fault.
    Spicy
