Powered iPhone 4 / 4s Mount for bike

  1. I bought, off fleabay, an Ultimate Addons powered bike mount.

    Came with the power lead / switch box, handlebar mount which is quick release.

    It cost me £37 delivered. Great value and works a treat!

  2. yep me too mate bloody awesome are'nt they!!!!!! ...ive go two one for a 3gs complete with the inline charger ....love it and the fact that you can switch it on and off from the battery , we both use it in conjunction with scala headsets and have the co pilot app (£20) and its the best ive used full stop ...i have orange maps satnav too but rarely use it as the co pilot is awesome , never let me down

  3. How did you mount yours Butch

    Can't find a decent place to mount mine on the 848 with a ball mount.

  4. Mine didn't come with the ball mount. It came with the handlebar bracket / clamp and although I originally, as per the pics, mounted it on the Minoura Space Bar it's now mounted directly on the handlebar just to the left of the handlebar mount.

  5. Used a rubber seat bung pushed through the long bolt to keep it steady and a washer combo underneath to tighten up

  6. This forums grrreat :) I've been looking at the Ultimate Addons and wondering were to mount it on the 1098!

    Did you wire the hard wire kit directly to the battery?

  7. Yes it's hard wired. The second picture down is the switch unit.

    Very very nice set up and a bargain for the cost.

  8. Looks good! How waterproof is the phone enclosure? I'm guessing only good at keeping off a shower?

  9. It totally waterproof mate I had a similar case while I was serving , and it was used on exercise to keep the phone dry on a river crossing in Scotland ..... This one is even better

  14. Looks good, I've also seen replacement steering head adjustment nuts with the ball mount fitted on top, which looks like a good way of fitting it.

  15. My order from Ultimate Addons arrived nice & quick (case, hardwire kit and M8 ball mount), just waiting for the RAM Mount adaptor to arrive.

  16. Howdo!!

    Looks ideal, will have to order 1!!! Having only just stepped out of the Stoneage what app are you using for your GPS? And how effective is it? Interested as this will save spending out for a Garmin. Any advice welcome.

  18. I have one too I use it for holding my iPhone 4s for videoing works great sat nav too but sun makes it hard to see

    Should be fine in England then lol

  20. My son was trying out the new phone on the bike this morning, however i am not to sure it will catch on. At least it matches the bike.
