I find that the lowest setting on my heated grips is quite hot is there a way of changing the levels of heat within the pre set low med and high. My owners manual dosent mention the heated grips at all.
You can't change it. Don't use them unless under 7 deg C. E.g. 11deg C rain and motorway I was cold wet and miserable after 220miles...put it on min and steam came off when at walking pace on minimum...Max is just very hot..you need winter gloves just to touch it.
The heat settings are time based...not current limited... E.g. 10 seconds on. 45 seconds off...the round screen reflects this. Higher setting 30 seconds on then 30 seconds off. In theory if some could hack the Black Box system then I'm sure this could be fiddled with. It would be better if it was linked to the air in temperature (as it is measured for the injection system).

Knight rider thanks for that looks like an easy cheap reversable mod off to eBay I go Ducbird the goon on the moped on my profile is me pay carefull attention to the multiple chins and face only a mother could love, clammy hands are the least of my worries
