I have been working on and off for nearly three years doing a full nut and bolt restoration of my 999. Many pictures have been taken along the way, and someday I will get round to documenting what has turned out to be a massive job, both financially and time wise. I have enjoyed every bit of it though. Here is a video of her first start up since Rich at Louigi Moto worked his magic with full blueprint and balance, headwork including a 1.3mm skim, etc etc. Just needs a day on the dyno as she is running a bit lean (as expected). I was thinking about turning her into a cafe racer, but I think she is too beautiful to chop her about. I just need to sort out her body work and then she is all good for the TT at the end of May. I’m going on the 29th May and coming back June 12th, staying at the cladagh campsite in between Sulby hotel and Ginger Hall (behind them). I hope the weather is better than in 2017 when it rained every single day. If the weather looks promising I’ll take the 999, or if it’s looking shitty I’ll take the mutleystroodle. Yep - we're going on the friday night (day before the opening race) whatever day that is....were only there til the following wednesday...first time in 8 years ive not been on something italian (usually on the RSV4 but i thought this year ill try the zed). The of us going, one on an RC8r and another on an RSV1000. Staying in Port St Mary away from all the busyness and the plod for that matter...! see you there. (ill pm you when we get there...)
