Protect your forks

  1. Up here in the dark and dim North we have a chain of stores called the Yorkshire outlet sells everything and anything at value for money prices (cheap)
Went to get some Gaffer tape and whilst there bought some clear tape. The packaging said it was suitable for repairing tears in Poly tunnels. I got it as a temp repair on the plastic rear window on an MG

Anyhow I have also put a strip on the front of the forks of the 1098 to protect them from stone chips. no point putting a picture up cos it is invisible £2.90 for a roll. threw the packaging away so can't at this time tell you what it is called but if anybody is interested will go back and find out

  2. Just tried this on my carby?

Not a fan - everytime I compress the forks the tape pushes up and goes all crinkly??!:biggrin:
