My 5yo granddaughter Florence has been given a part in the school nativity play. She's got the part of a fox. Yes a bloody FOX. At the birth of the baby Jesus. I'm so proud
A fox? It’s like they make up roles just because they have a child to fill it. Whatever happened to the good old fashioned tree, the cloud or the kid playing the star. I’m sure she’ll be great. Tell her to go rogue and steal the show to ruin their predisposed ideas of the heirarchy of each child’s part
Is this a public school? They don't allow religious symbols in the public schools around here (unless it's a religion based private school). Christmas trees are only allowed as "holiday trees" in public schools. I love the posts about your grandkids. There is nothing like a great relationship with grandma and grandpa. I miss my grandparents, especially around the holidays.
It's a normal public school. Not a private one. they've come up with the role of a fox because she's got bright ginger hair It's a bit gingerist My youngest grandson (3yo) up in Scotland is one of the narrators in his nativity play. He has two lines and has been practicing like mad apparently
Love they are are embracing her red hair. Funny about your grandson! So serious. Maybe he aspires to be an actor when he grows up? My hair was very red when I was younger and ended up more strawberry blonde. I was always teased about it in school but then started getting compliments as I got older. Picture is me at 8 yrs old (slightly sunbleached from summer days at the beach-with my Grandma). What my Mom couldn't accomplish with her hair, she did to me. It did not help my cause in school.
