Puncture: The Alternatives

  1. I discovered I'd picked up a nail in my rear tyre on my Monster 1200 when I went to go out on Sunday afternoon. On the assumption that it's not repairable, I'm looking at two possible solutions.

    1. Go for another Diablo Rosso II to match the front, given it's done about 2k miles. I've found the DRIIs in the 1k or so miles since I've had the bike, but nothing outstanding.
    2. Replace both with a pair of Sports/Touring tyres (which would have gone on the bike next anyway), namely either PR4s or Roadtec 01s.
Most of my riding is either commuting over a mixed 16 mile route of country roads and town centre, with the occasional longer run out into the Yorkshire Dales or South Pennines. I'm not a fast rider by any stretch of the imagination, so longevity, wet and dry grip and stability are key.

Any suggestions on which to go for?
