Questions About 1989 851 Strada

Discussion in '851 / 888' started by Fire3500, Jan 12, 2019.

  1. Should a 1989 Strada have an adjustable rear linkage or is that a corse part?

    Thanks :)

  2. Aha, and is that a standard Strada or something fancy? Looks like it might be a fancy model in your avatar.

  3. The avatar bike is my SP4. This is my 851... Ducati Festa 125.jpg

  4. Aha, ace thanks! And you've got the adjuster. Top job.

  5. Do you mean the that rocker between the rear shock and hoop?
If yes, not standard adjustable on the strada.
Was on the 888SPO and corse bikes.

Read once that the ‘90 851 could have it as well but i never saw one with it.

  6. That’s what I mean Henk. The rocker at the top of the shock has a snail cam adjuster in it and the rocker looks like a corse part for sale on eBay.

  7. They do make reproductions of them now.
    But not the hoops yet.

    Henk!!!

  8. @ducati dad has had 2 1989 851 and they have both had the adjustable rockers
